Almost the entire map of the US is scattered with major national parks which form some of the most frequently visited tourist destinations.

Now, Xanterra is one of the private tourism management groups which have not only capitalized upon the fact of numerous visitors pouring in these national parks and the surrounding areas but have also given an extra boost to the tourism industry in those regions by establishing various lodging services and other facilities like hotels, resorts, camps, cabins, etc.
While Xanterra as a company is based in Colorado, it operates nationwide in collaboration with the US National Park Service.
Other than just running hotels and resorts and thus advancing the tourism business, Xanterra also has an environmental concern and is often associated with various kinds of protection programs for these parks and their environment. The nearly endless list of the National parks covered by them include Death Valley, Grand Canyon, Yellow stone, Crater Lake, Everglades National Park among many others.
Incidentally the name of the corporation is derived from the words Xanadu and Terra. As for the lodging and all the other different facilities run by the group, they have a wide variety of expenses ranging from moderately priced to luxuries which are really expensive to afford. However, one can always have a discount rate on these resorts and hotels based on the means of booking, as some of the agencies and websites offer lower rates for the facilities. Moreover, there are also seasonal discounts at certain places in specific times.
